LILIAN LUTZ (also known as Lilla Lutz).
NORAH WEST (NEE SPITTLES) has contacted us saying that, although she was at School from 1929 - 35,
she does not remember Kathleen. Norah has 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren -
is this a record for an Old Girl? VIOLET EMY was her Head Girl and now, at 88 years old,
Norah is going to rejoin the Association. She would love to hear from anyone who remembers her -
contact Maureen Bunn for Norah's email address.
WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
We have been asked if anyone remembers KATHLEEN MARETTA WHITE at School in the 1930's - please contact
Maureen Bunn if you can help (maureenabunn@yahoo.co.uk or telephone 01883 716727).
Barbara Anderson (1955)- died 2011
Grace Adcock (1955)
The restaurant provided a free first drink - mostly Margueritas, and conversation/laughter soon flowed. Many photos were taken and
hopefully these will appear on our web site shortly.
The evening was a great success and we hope to organise similar events in the future.
UPCOMING EVENTS
We do hope that the attendance will be as good as ever and that the Reunion will be as good as in past years.
Please support us.
TOUR DATES FOR 2012
April: 11th, 12th, 13th
EVENING AT LA CANTINA.
On November 16th fifty-five Old Girls met at this Mexican restaurant in Covent Garden. Several members of
Staff were present including the Head, Carol Jewell. This event was organised by Sarah Luxford (2002) and aimed at girls working/
living in London.
The evening was an opportunity for Carol Jewell to launch The Meredith Kercher Language Scholarship. This will give the winner the
opportunity to travel to a European language school for up to three weeks in the summer holidays. In time various events and fund
raising activities will be publicised on the OPOGA website.
As a result of the evening, six girls have volunteered to attend a Careers Convention at School in February 2012 to talk about their
chosen paths. If you are involved in media, music, banking, drama, marketing, advertising, PR, journalism, sport, teaching, art,
politics, languages and medical specialisms (radiography, physiotherapy etc) and would like to take part, please email Liz Berner,
Head of Careers at lberner@oldpalace,sch.uk with your name, job title and the organisation you work for.
SUMMER REUNION - 25TH JUNE 2011
Again the weather was kind to us after a windy/damp start to the day. Approximately 100 Old Girls and their
partners met for drinks in the Memorial Garden at noon followed by a sumptuous Buffet Lunch in the Banqueting Hall. Several Old Girls
had rounded up their friends and had tables reserved for them. After lunch, present pupils escorted those who wished to retrace their steps
around the school and tea was served at 4pm. The day ended with a rousing rendition of the School Song.
This was a wonderful occasion
and a day to be remembered.
TEA PARTY - 21ST MARCH 2011
Over 80 Old Girls attended this delightful afternoon for all Old Girls who had been at school up until 1960.
Our oldest visitor was in her 90's, bright as a button and loved seeing photos of herself at school. An on-going film show was
projected on to the Banqueting Hall wall of days gone by. The school carerers provided a lovely tea after many present had been taken
around the school by current pupils.
Both Old Girls and pupils enjoyed the opportunity to exchange views and Old Girls were able to reminisce about life at Old Palace in
their day!
CAROL SERVICE IN CHAPEL - 7.30 PM MONDAY 5th DECEMBER 2011

SATURDAY 23RD JUNE 2012 - We will be holding our 4th Summer Reunion at school to
